Mr. Johnson's "Hiking North Carolina" is a guide for hikers through a hiker standing in North Carolina High Country. North Carolina has hundreds of miles of hiking and Randy walked through most of them himself. The only risk to write a guide on something you love so much, is the sense of adventure to spoil too much information. On the other hand, I had long enough in hiking guides, which are difficult to find the trailhead would remember, much less give a goodDetails of the route and what you meet. There is a subtle balance between a guide that tells too much, like the Appalachian Trail passes, and a guide that says too little, as I see in some magazines. I believe that Mr. Johnson guide to a good balance between the two strikes, you say what you know and need the same sense of adventure experience.
