I used this book in class for many years. My 02:59, students use a lot. They are able to watch independently on forms of land and water, the other for a project I had to identify in my class.
The book is missing a couple of definitions, but I have mine and added it to the book.
(Eg RIA). The other thing is the index is not complete, but I wrote in the correct pages and topics. Lacks some of theDefinitions. This is a great introduction to the use of an index. While not perfect, is very useful to students and young people are capable of independence ... a huge advantage. I wish more books were this way. It 'hard to find a book at the right level with the desired information. The highlight of the project, students make a 'fictional island. You use the book a "map" to create many different forms of entertainment and ground water. You can get creative with the name ... For example, Barbara's BayAwesome or archipelago.
I find it difficult to teach this part of geography without them! This is an excellent resource.

One of the gladdest moments of human life, methinks, is the departure upon a distant journey into unknown lands. Shaking off with one mighty effort the fetters of habit, the leaden weight of routine, the cloak of many cares and the slavery of home, man feels once more happy. Flights to New York
